This entire book is written 29848384% more mature than the first and I appreciate that. It doesn't feel awkward as hell when dialogue happens. The love interest is actually INTERESTING and sweet. It's not perfect but it's been pretty good. Even the plot is interesting, although it is not original nor fresh but can't win em all!

This is by far the best narrator EVER. Like I am so glad to listen to this because my inner head voice couldn't do it better.

Tired of powerful men taking in young women romances

For so long I've put off reading the hunger game prequel because I loved katniss and I just...couldn't let the after thoughts taint the original thought. BUT haymitch's story was the ONLy prequel I would accept. And when she originally did Snow, I was perplexed. And saddened. But yay, she did Haymitch's games, but I still put it off because, well, i was so scared of being disappointed. BUT guess what I need a book so

I'm so close to dropping this book because I simply don't care about anyone. The biggest crime ofthis book is how passively it's written as well as well, Alma, as sweet as she is so so UNCONVINCING in her revenge. And Aster, who is supposed to be teh god aiding her, is really, like toxic in almost an abusive way. so having a hard time just...getting behind it all.

I just can't like Aster. And I don't care how much Alma tells me about herself, she literally is a soft cinnamon roll

Honestly, this book is not what I expected .Trying to not feel disappointed. There's still a lot left but I'm almost...am bored. And just like okay this isn't as smart as I thought it was going to be. ANYWAYS

This book has way too much passive voice. I struggled to put my finger on it. But there it is. It's moving but feels like you're being dragged along. Does that make sense.

Audiobook (only thing available). Wish I was reading this because I really love the sort of tongue in cheek narrator. The actual verbal narrator isn't savvy enough to get the slight dry humor I wish. BUT still enjoying it!

Went into this sort of underwhelmed. The writing feels immature BUT we have our vampire and his problems and we'll, I'm invested. I like the twist on things. Even the writing feels a bit more uplifted, like the other herself finally hit her pace.

Thank God. I needed a palette cleanser after Silver Elite. Not only is this funny and cute it's the most Gilmore Girls coded vibes AND the male narrator is Zachary Webber who is THE BESTTT

So far this book is a mixture of 848393 other books except for one thing and that one thing is what's keeping me interested.

A) I'm obsessed. B) I'm obsessed with Rey. Why can't we have more MMC that are just like ...overworking, overthinking, just like can't stop moving because I will die, main characters in fantasies???? He's not mysterious or even cunning. He's just like intelligent. Does that make sense? The love interest doesn't need to be some hot sexy posing guy. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Bye
