Cee is on page 9 of 18 of The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, and Long-term Health
Halfway done. It's actually fascinating. Lots of studies backing up everything he says. Basically it seems to come down to this: Eat vegan, and exercise in some way to live a long and healthy life. That can solve a variety of diseases once they are discovered and could be even better at not getting them in the first place if you don't eat meat or cow dairy. So many diseases heart disease, glaucoma, cancer....

Cee is starting People vs. Donald Trump: An Inside Account
Stopped at about 1.5 hour in. We were listening in the car and didn't have another long car ride to finish because of a snowstorm (which we stayed home through), so the book returned itself unfinished. Iborrowed this book through my libby app. Now there's a long wait and it might be months before I can finish it. sad emoji.

"Remember, Always Trust Your Gut."
Not sure that this is a book, it calls itself a podcast. But I'm listening to it and it's interesting. Have listened to 3 episodes so far, and realizing that I could actually be one of the interviewees... more than once....

Cee is 10% done with Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your Destiny
I am part way through a second reading. There were a few little nigglers that bothered me about what he wrote.... so I did a little checking on the internet and found a YouTube video with clips of Sadhguru saying some... not-guru-like things. So.... I have changed my mind from this being a must-read to being interesting and full of great points, but with a flawed writer. Most of what he says is interesting.

Cee is starting Between the World and Me
I started re-reading this book not because it moved me and I wanted to read it again, but because I had completely forgotten that I had already read it. I feel a little bit differently about it this time than what I wrote before, but I wouldn't have read it again even so had I remembered reading it.

Cee is on page 2 of 7 of The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own
I listen to this by speaker on my iPhone. But, I have heard Joshua Becker speak a few times on youtube or somesuch, and this is not up to his usual quality of speaking. Instead, it feels like he is really trying hard to not slur and to speak extra clearly. It just isn't very engaging. Obviously his first book. And, because the pandemic just hit, the first couple chapters are out of date.

This is essays and although I have been enjoying them, it’s overdue. I will take it out again after the holidays.

Cee is starting Never Never (Detective Harriet Blue, #1)
Aside from a couple of odd references that seem to be completely wrong, for example—saying the desert is huge, like as big as California, to someone who is an Australian native—I enjoyed this book. I heard an interview with Candice Fox, and decided to read it because I liked her. I will read more of her books. I’m glad she teemed up with James Paterson so her writing got the international attention it deserves.

I'm glad when popular novelists address issues that are often ignored or worse where the victim is blamed. However, this was just not up to par with Ms Macombers recent series. There was a lot of repetition and it needs a thorough editing. Disappointing. Not fun. Not the lighthearted novel you have come to expect from Ms Macomber.
