Has definitely picked up more, and am enjoying more in this area of the book.

I’ve found that I don’t really like reading a lot about the setting and landscape, not too much more than necessary.

But I really enjoy learning about the characters and their developments and descriptions.

The dialogues are what I find the most interesting by far.

It’s quite impressive how CS Lewis balances the perspective and story telling narrative of Ransom. At some points it’s as if he is telling the story to us (therefore using past tense ) and sometimes we are absorbed/sucked into the story and so therefore he begins to speak to us in the present tense.

You can really see CS Lewis and his love for writing in this book so far. The words that are used feel slightly similar to 18th century vocabulary. And so I do get a bit of a headache reading it from having to focus. Otherwise it is very intriguing !

How could the cliche first kiss in the rain be made into such a good chapter?! Something about this writing style, the tension, the character development… just wow

Yoh this booook. A bit annoyed at how much Kai and Paedyn enjoyed killing Ace in this past chapter but other than that no complaints😂

I’m finding that I really really love complex characters. Paedyn and Kai are so complex and they’re also kinda anti-heroes at the same time. Their character arc is just so good and well thought out so far.

my favorite phrase that Roberts has written is describing when one of them is falling “the floor begins flying towards my face”😂

Love itttt everything is described just so well.

Absolutely loving it so much, I’m so hooked and I just want to keep reading ! Such a good world building experience.

This book seems to be a little slow but it is greeting a lot better more towards the middle!!
