It has been a couple of years since I read We Hunt the Flames, so getting back on track to what has happened so far is a little challenging. The names are being mentioned and I’m getting some recollection of what happened. I can see some scenes in my mind.

All I needed was to live my life, and keep believing in the hope I’d seen today. - this page has a cute little illustration of a crescent moon surrounded by stars🌙 if I didn’t have a fav page in a book before, I do now.

Well, after 3 years, I’ve started the second book. I saw it in a local book shop and my motive for buying it was due to how inexpensive it was. I did, however want to continue the series, so here we go.

As I walked to Shibiya Station with Mr Fifty Million, the throng of people around me seemed more colourful, more vibrant.

The Rule Of Lost Love - ‘The quiet in the air held too much meaning for two strangers making small talk.’

Currently on the chapter ‘The rules of the best friend’. I can’t not stop buying Japanese fiction. I don’t know what it is but it has a different energy and even if the story is close to home, so to speak, I feel so far away and get lost in the story 😍

OH. MY. GOOD. LORD. I was not expecting that!!!! Oh dear lord. Picoult that was very clever. But so close to the end!? I feel for Brian. These last few chapters are going to be very intense.

I’m a little irritated already. I think opening with constant memories of how this used to be like that, and that used to be like this, is creating a barrier between the reader and the story. I wasn’t there so I feel like I can’t connect to what’s being said..
