After reading a couple climate realist texts in the past couple years the projected climate changes are familiar but the perspective is older (2012)

Early Soviet women’s liberation was massively subordinated to the needs of the industrial economy and traditionalist agrarian-era patriarchal norms in the 1930s and onward till the pro-‘democracy’ late Soviet era. (I think)

Very dense text! But easy to understand and helpful primer so far

Losurdo is examining how Churchill legacy is viewed pre and post wwII in contrast to Stalins legacy. Churchill’s record is filled with crimes against humanity, it’s despicable.

The colonialist era of China’s history is appalling.

This chapter has Some of the best descriptions of what ideological and personal differences there were between Stalin and Trotsky.

Really enjoying this.

Fascinating chapter on Bakunin and kropotkin.

Wrt/ the planning of the Soviet Union, it’s such a tragedy in so many ways.

I feel like there’s a lot of gaps in historical context I am missing so far.

Everyone’s(Marxist & anarchist) revolutions are getting roasted in this chapter.

I have finished the Stirner chapter and, unsurprisingly, I have some criticisms. However, I also see value in the ideas presented. I have never been more aware that I live in a society than I do now. 👁️

Very interesting! Lots I agree with so far. I did reach the ‘socialists are the true fascists now’ part, we’ll see where this goes!

This one is so dense. I’m enjoying the exploration of hierarchy and it’s relationship with humanity/society. Also giving a lot of info about social ecology and it’s differentiation from other ‘ecologies’(?).
