Loving it and looking at high starage. Could of niggles; jumps around between scenes...often mid chapter without any warning so I suddenly find we jumpt to a planet or flash back or different ship etc.
Secondly people several people (descendants) share the same surname, but the author flicks between referring to people by, first, sir or nick-name so freely I get dead confused as to who is who.

Really enjoying it, but lacking time to read!! For me it seems... so far, perfect. Aliens, spaceships, not taking itself too seriously... watch this space.

Epic. A few unnecessary gruesome bits, but otherwise awesome. Sort of startrek Heart of Darkness, Pulp Fiction and Homer rolled into one!
Getting s little slow for me now as I struggle to find reading time!!

Fantastic. BUT essential that u read a few others first. This book has the a super villain in it and deviates from the usual formula. If you didn't know that formula it would be wasted. Read it ONLY after reading at least 10 other Nero Wolfe especially some that have Arnold Zeck in them (And Be a Villain/Second Confession ). shouldn't just start with those b/c Zeck needs 2b in the context of the previous ones!

...not so great so far. We ave a miscarriage and abortion discussing subplot which is really not where I want yo be escaping too!

Finding this absolutely gripping!! Best ST book I have read; somewhat knocking the other recent ones I read into oblivion... Thanks so much to the GoodReads reviewer who recommended it!
