This is a great read! Heavy going in places. I’m currently on quarks and the up/down and colour charge are scrambling my brain. But I’m hanging in there. Learned a lot so far. Will report at the end.

A murder case turns into something bizarre - pure Stephen King. Page turner and very gripping. Finding it hard to put down.

I gave up. This took fanciful to new heights. Not a book for me. Finished at p240 so gave it a good shot.

Good read so far. Standard Follett fare - good multi-story threads

This book is rubbish. Completely different from previous ones and requiring you to suspend your disbelief so far that it’s out of sight. Thin plot that doesn’t hold together. Thinner characters who are just caricatures of types. And how come the town where all the action happens appears to have no residents? No one witnesses violence. No police are called. Bodies bundled into car boots in broad daylight.

Good read although a little apocalyptic!
