Now she is riding her unicorn through the busy streets of Tokyo "skillfully" despite being so drunk that she is slurring her words.

Clearly, the Mary Sue Powers have been activated.

She also defeated the two security guards in about "5.2 seconds flat". Yeah, I call bullshit on that one.

As Kusanagi beats up every security guard that she sees. She is now entering a room where she sees Ranmaru.

Kusanagi Kimamura is drunk. She is also pissed off at Haruka.

And Haruka is the same guy who tweaked his own nipple.

Kusanagi becomes convinced that Haruka has information about Ranmaru's whereabouts but isn't telling her because he has a huge crush on her.

So Elly tells Will that he can sleep in the barn. And then Will is puking his brains out for eating green apples for lunch.

She sees Will's ribs and she insists on making him something to eat.

So he tells Elly about doing time for killing a woman and Elly doesn't care as figures he'll do. It turns out that her husband died in an accident in April.

Oh this statement hit me right in the feels:

"He was a vagrant ex-con; she poor, pregnant and unpretty. Who was the bigger loser?"

So Will is told to pay "Crazy Elly Dismore" a visit as she is sure to give him work. Even though Will has gotten out of jail, people treat him like crap.

So Will sees an ad in the paper from "Crazy Elly" stating that she wants a healthy man of any age to be her husband and be able to do work.

So Elly looks as disheveled as her property. She has three kids and is pregnant.

I really love the descriptions: they really paint a picture without being verbose.

So Harley Overmire had "a head full of close-cropped dark hair that coiled like watchsprings" and is also described as being an ape to having a lot of body hair. And Harley likes to go shirtless.

So one of the guys named Will is rumored to have "killed a woman in a Texas whorehouse".

So far I love the writing: "first droplets of rain pelted like thick batter onto the black leather roof of a waiting carnage"

Man the grandparents are a complete bag of dicks. I feel sorry for the woman and her baby.

For some strange reason when I read the lines: "I sang and gyrated with a small army of nearly naked dancers", the first thing that popped into my head was the opening scene of Final Fantasy X2.

Kirsten is getting ready to perform a pop song on stage and recollects the first time that she first met Travis.

Travis looked down at Kirsten simply because was just another pop star and in turn judged him to be another rock star prima donna with an inflated ego. She also wants to prove him wrong but also muses why he has to be so damn hot.

Okay so Kristen describes Travis's eyes as "soulful" and how his ratty blue jeans were "sex-heroin".

So Kirsten admits as much as she wants to do the vertical mambo with Travis she says that "too bad that he is an asshole" and how she needs to stop "falling for losers".

And it turns out that Kirsten is a pop star who wants to go Indie.

I'm so excited to read this!

I loved the first volume of Tempt.

Now it is time to read about a sexy rock star :D

Upon Nate noticing that Rosie has perfectly straight and white teeth, muses:

Christ, why does everything about this girl have to be so annoying perfect? Can't she have just one flaw to stop me from wanting her so freaking badly?

So it doesn't come across as a shocker that Nate is shallow and Rosie is beautiful with no flaws. Nate calls her bunny and Rosie hates that.

So Nate is still determined to pork Rosie and tells her "Your ass is going to keep me awake tonight. Damn."

Rosie tells him to stop with the flirting and pickup lines
to which Nate muses that he'll "just have to impress her with my sparkling personality instead then."

Nate's "sparkling personality" stinks like a rotting roadkill and is repulsive like a cockroach.
