Not sure why I chose to read this book. Not as interesting as I thought it might be. I stopped listening to it

Judith is starting Friends of My Youth Stories
I am going to stop reading this book. I think short stories aren’t as interesting to me as I thought they might be. Not sure why. I have Munro’s Hateship friendship courtship love ship marriage on hold from the library. I’ll try that one again when it comes available to see if I think differently.

Judith is starting Orphan Train
I just realized that I read this book several years ago before I was better at keeping dates read and writing reviews. I am going to reread it as my current book group is reading it. I rated it a 4 the first time I read it. It will be interesting to see if I enjoy it as much this time around.

Somehow I accidentally marked this book as read and I haven't really finished it yet. I don't know how to correct it.

Judith is starting The Starless Sea
I think I’m going to send this book back to the library. It just hasn’t captured me like The Night Circus did. I may go back to it at a later date.

Probably shouldn’t be reading this book right now as we will be flying home from Italy in a week. However, I had it on hold at the library and it came available so here I go! Hope to finish it before boarding our flight home.

I am reading this book one chapter at a time as community history of African Americans beginning in 1619. It is a compilation of 90 brilliant writers, each of whom takes on a brief period of that 400 year span. I am learning alot. It is beautifully written.

I have 13 hours left of this 38 hours long audible version of this book. I have listened to Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies over the last 3 months. Mantel is such a descriptive writer that you can almost smell the flesh burning of those burned at the stake and hear them screaming. The brutality of punishment and the crudeness of men towards women during this time period is almost too much to bear.

I am actually listening to this book. The reader is phenomenal! I don't think you would get the same experience from reading it.

I have stopped reading this book and started reading Up Country by Nelson DeMille as I think Matterhorn is too much of a reminder of the war right before I leave to visit a changed country
