Lydia Therese is on page 58 of 248 of Ginny Gordon and the Mystery of the Disappearing Candlesticks
Ginny Gordon is by the same author of the first six Trixie Belden books, and I can tell that she is a prototype for Trixie. The setting and characters are very similar. It's fun so far. I like Ginny.
I'm so glad Campbell did away with these 12-year-old twin terrors in the Trixie books, though, because they are annoying af

I'm loving this book so far. Rilla and her character arc remind me a lot of Jane Austen's Emma, who is one of my favorite Austen characters.

Someone tell me how this woman living in 1789 got a 6-foot-tall feminist model for a husband 🤨

I intend to read this book's companion, "Against Calvinism," after I finish this one. I'm interested to hear both perspectives.

You know when a book is so good you want to EAT it? Like just take a bite and chew on it? Just me? Ok.

90% of the slang in this book is incomprehensible to me and I love it

I used a random number generator to choose my next audiobook from the 138 books on my TBR, and it picked this. I like it because I really do want to read this, but I don’t know if I ever would have picked it myself out of the “stack.”

Please Agatha get to the point I love you but respectfully I don’t care about this conversation the prime minister and a random diplomat are having and I don’t want to see anything outside of the POV of Tommy or Tuppence 😭😭

There have been far too many coincidences to be realistic at all, but it’s a lot of fun so far. I really like the dynamic between Tommy and Tuppence.

So far, the main point of the book—the romance—is really bad. It provides a great glimpse into 1940s culture, though. The slang and customs are so outdated and I love it.

Not really sure what I’m getting into with this one 😭 This was written by a college student in the early 1940s. It could be either really good or really terrible. We’ll see!
