This book was tolerable and somewhat intriguing until the section with Miss Clack. GET ME OUT OF HER HEAD I BEG YOU PLEASE

I intend to read this book's companion, "Against Calvinism," after I finish this one. I'm interested to hear both perspectives.

What is happening rn

I used a random number generator to choose my next audiobook from the 138 books on my TBR, and it picked this. I like it because I really do want to read this, but I don’t know if I ever would have picked it myself out of the “stack.”

Please Agatha get to the point I love you but respectfully I don’t care about this conversation the prime minister and a random diplomat are having and I don’t want to see anything outside of the POV of Tommy or Tuppence 😭😭

There have been far too many coincidences to be realistic at all, but it’s a lot of fun so far. I really like the dynamic between Tommy and Tuppence.

So far, the main point of the book—the romance—is really bad. It provides a great glimpse into 1940s culture, though. The slang and customs are so outdated and I love it.

Not really sure what I’m getting into with this one 😭 This was written by a college student in the early 1940s. It could be either really good or really terrible. We’ll see!

There are some really interesting thoughts in here about the relativity of time, especially when viewed through the lens of redemptive history.

Finally re-borrowed this from the library to finish it! The other stories are interesting, but nothing like The Country of the Pointed Firs so far.

This book is significantly less interesting than the first one so far. I'm still bored and we're already halfway through the book.

This is SO GOOD so far. The writing is some of the best I’ve read in a biography, and it’s detailed without feeling bogged down. Also, it’s just fascinating (and heart-wrenching) stuff.
