Update: At this point…I’m finishing it out of spite and then my review has sunk to barely a one ⭐️.

Update: And why am I not surprised that the author had the MMC do the grovel? Cause that’s all they seem to do nowadays. Mason didn’t do anything to deserve this. Taylor? I hate you.

Update: That’s it. I hate the FMC. I HATE her! Like I can’t even with this bratty immature whiny woman. Ugh!! 😑 🙄

Update: Yep. I get why people DNF at this point. Good grief Girl! Is she seriously pissed at Mason? Yep. Dumb question because she throws an evil: “You hurt me worse than he ever did.” at Mason and disowns both him and Sofia (her bff). I’m pissed off by this and I’m tempted to DNF. My rating will now come solely based on whether she grovels endlessly for a true HEA.

Update: I’m enjoying it…mostly. I don’t like the FMC at all. I love Mason! I’ve seen some people say they hate the FMC and what she does as part of the third act breakup. I saw someone DNF at 80%. I’m hoping she has to grovel.

Update: Sadly, I’m DNF-ing this. I can only handle so much of the “my girl parts” when the FMC refers to her own body being turned on before I’m just weirded out by that choice of words.

Update: I’m DNF-ing this. I really was intrigued and wanted to read it it but from the confusion of the FMC asking the MMC if he’d had his birth control shot to the ridiculous groveling the FMC is making the MMC do, I’ve had it. I’m so sick of that trope. He didn’t do anything to deserve it. He shouldn’t have said what he said, but she also isn’t perfect.

Update: DNF-ing for now. It’s a three book series and has a cliffhanger. When they’re all out, I’ll consider coming back to them.

Update: So, it’s not really Conan’s fault that she finds out. He wasn’t the one to include her in the chase. This’ll be a case of a big misunderstanding between them. My bet is on Enzo sending her in or Ben’s family.

Update: So, I’m still not loving it…but…I’m not yet ready to DNF. The whole format of moving to another line when it’s the same person still speaking drives me crazy. Otherwise, I’m waiting to see what he does that betrays her so bad he has to beg for a second chance. 🙄

Update: I’m not sure how I feel about this book. The author sends dialogue to a new line even when it’s the same person still talking which is confusing as heck. I also am squicked when on MC spits anything into the other MC’s mouth. Whiskey in this case. 🤢 I also hate it when the guy is the one who always fricks up and has to grovel. Why can’t the woman grovel every now and then?
