Even when her best friend was savagely beaten and almost killed Cleo didn’t say a damn thing. This coward is the worst friend ever. In this day and age I’m so tired of women being weak willed, spineless and dumb as a plot device. And because of a man! And in this case, a white man whose green eyes she can’t stop drooling over. I am so sick and tired of authors, writing these stupid spineless, female, main characters who do the dumbest shit because of a man. Cleo is an idiot because any person with a working brain would’ve gone straight to the police as opposed to voluntarily blowing up their own life to cover for a psychopath. This woman is so stupid. It ruins the entire story.

Omg Cleo is such a spineless main character and it’s driving me nuts. I cannot believe she let that psychopath. Heath manipulate her as if it is an obvious he’s a damn psychopath. Also, why does she care of her parents know that she’s having sex? She’s so immature and cares too much. What other people think.

Audiobook: Cleo is weird AF and annoying. Heath is certifiable and also annoying. I’m invested though and curious about where this book is going but so far these two weirdos need guidance from a professional.OMG 🤣

This has so much attention but the main character is an annoying and erratic .

The way that Ava should’ve thrown Gene’s irresponsible ass to the wolves? They never disciplined him and now he’s a full-blown grown ass loser.

Audiobook: How is Ava this in the dark about her family? She doesn’t know wth is going on with anyone or anything. Just blatantly ignorant and in the dark. And it wouldn’t be so bad if she weren’t so dumb/naïve, and basic too. Just annoying af. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Daniel being on the run with Hannah is falling flat. Her character hasn’t been fully developed and now it just feels like a sci-fi version of Bonnie and Clyde or whatever. I’m tired of his flashbacks and visions and their forced proximity and odd chemistry.

Daniel spends way too much time in his head and all that internal dialogue way is the book down and quickly becomes annoying. He’s now on the run with Hannah and it feels like the book is trying to ship these two I don’t like it at all. Their chemistry is tepid at best and it feels cringe the way the author describes how he’s looking at her and how she smells. Ponderosa pine???? Wtaf🤣 ick

The “Him” chapters of the book are annoying. I don’t like it.. They should’ve found a different way to incorporate this narrative.

Camille is a bird ass sociopath. Why in the world would you willingly throw your life away and for a fuckboy? Gideon is a sociopath like his mom, Camille and RJ is a fuckboy like his dad, Ryan.
Camille was so busy crafting her life around Ryan because he was an athlete 🙄that she ended up ruining her own. There’s nothing more embarrassing than a man-centered woman. Loser behavior. This mystery has me hooked.

These people are insufferable and I cannot stand any of them. The children are disrespectful assholes. Why do these people let their kids talk to them like this?

A lot of Holland’s inner dialogue is her reminiscing over the old version of her friend, Cat but the book does a terrible job of showing us who Cat actually is other than a mentally unstable person. We only get the worst parts and have to piece them together. Their relationship is basically two co dependent weirdos, not best friends.

I am so confused as to why Holland is mourning the old Cat when that version was just as trash as this new one. Unless I’m missing something that girl was never her friend. Cat’s flashbacks only show us how unhinged she used to be.

Holland is dumb and can’t be an actual legitimate journalist behaving like this.
