Love that we were introduced to Aidan Valentine, then the weather people and now the owner of the studio.

Having such a hard time getting into this one but I am trusting the people who suggested it to me.

Monika Kim does it again! I can only read 20ish pages at time so far because the men in this book disgust me. The author mentioned the Burning Sun scandal in her ARC blurb, but I just found out about the 60+ million men who joined a website to learn how to assault, record, stalk women and get away with it. I needed a place to direct my rage and this book is exactly that.

"Help meeee"

Holy shit.

I didn't think it was possible for Sen to improve what was already a masterpiece, but here we are.

Comparing your mmc to another series mmc not once but every time the fmc's friends talk about him...? Not the cute moment Abby thinks it is for the reader. Especially when she chose Rhysand from ACOTAR in this the year our lord 2025. Jail.

MY SHAYLAAAA 😭 omg

Wow. What an intro.

Oh, it's DOV this time. Nice.

I'm listening to audiobooks because the pain has had me bedridden since Saturday and don't feel I can accurately rate these books when I'm finished, but they're keeping me sane.

This book would be better if our FMC wasn't insufferable. Kingfisher does one, harmless but slightly rude thing and she's whining for 4 pages about how she'll never forgive him as if he just killed her pet. This dynamic only seems to exist to call them enemies to lovers.

It generally takes me 5 chapters to get a feel for whether or not I'll enjoy a book. She had "inspired by the legend of Xishi" but we'll see.

so excited to have another Julie Soto arc in my hands!

I started the audiobook when I had a fever and the narration is so well done that I am having a good time automatically. Switching to my library book was weird.

I find it hard to enjoy a romantasy when we're presented with a world we want to explore then don't for the sake of focusing on the internal struggles of our fmc and a slow burn romance. I guess that's just what this genre is????? I'm new here.

I found a dramatized adaptation of the audiobook to listen to because I cannot focus on books when I'm sick, but I need something to scratch the itch and get my mind off the pain.
