I read book one, which ended on a cliffhanger (I hate that ish) but one thing I didn't mention in my review of book one is that the author is quite talented. I'm not ready to give up on her. I'm going into this one not expecting a romance story, so I'm not disappointed. I'm also going to prepare myself for a cliffhanger just in case the author makes a habit of doing that. Plus, I'm rooting for everybody black!

I'm really loving how the author is portraying women of color. So good!

So far I am having a difficult time getting into this book but I'm going to keep going. I refuse to waste my money - this damn book will be finished by me.
