I rarely comment on a book while reading it, usually I do it when something in it annoys me a lot. That's the case here... The sheer amount of repetitive information is just boggling and frankly more than a little frustrating and off putting... Hope the story continues without containing the same information every couple of pages...

So far it's good, however... I have a few small issues with certain aspects of writing but the biggest problem I think is the editing - narrative switches between characters suddenly from one sentence to the next and it breaks the reading flow... It could have been easily avoided by more clearly marking when the story is being told from a different point of view.

Ok so I'm a bit frustrated with this book because it's filled with one of my pet peeves - constantly restating information that was already given. I really dislike that in a novel especially when it's done multiple times already and I didn't even finish chapter 3. Some of the information has been repeated only a few paragraphs after it was mentioned and the worst part is characters act like it's brand new info!

So much potential in this series and in my opinion that potential is being wasted by needless inconsistencies and forced terrible puns...

So... I started reading this after the first book intrigued me with its premise (didn't leave me too impressed with the plot and dialogue though) and I didn't have high expectations... Yet I still got dissapointed early in... The author seemed to forget what he wrote in his first book and those inconsistecies really bother me... I'm debating whether to stop reading this altogether...

So far it's a very interesting book. However i have to mention something... There are way too many repetitions, things that were already explained get explained again and again... It breaks the flow of the story a little.

I don't usually write anything about a book I'm reading but I wanted to this time... It started off great and then boom a huge inconsistency. I won't spoil it but things like that tend to sour my reading experience.

I love this series and I've been following it for awhile now but there were already several inconsistencies in regard to previous novels and it's a bit annoying and one of my pet peeves. I hope the trend doesn't continue.

I complained in my review of the first collection of Quincy Harker's novellas about inconsistencies. At the moment I'm at the third novella in this collection (seventh overall) and I feel like my mind will melt from the inconsistencies I've encountered already. It's really frustrating!!!

I don't usually start reading a new book while still reading something else but I read the first two books in Glynn Stewarts Duchy of Terra series just recently and I need to know what happens next!

And again... Characters demonstrating knowledge they shouldn't be able to have. Frankly that's just lazy writing and it's incredibly frustrating and almost enough to sour an otherwise good book and intriguing story...

It was going so well... And now a huge inconsistency in the story... Author seemed to have forgotten some things about his own story and to move the plot forward characters acted on information they shouldn't know.

Got intrigued by this series awhile back so I'm pausing with Baldacci's The Forgotten for a bit.
I'm always saying I'm not usually into YA novels but I end up reading quite a few of them... Let's hope this one is as good as it's predecessors.

*** slight spoiler***

I'm about halfway through now and something I just read I felt I had to comment... So Horace is looking for Jirom, keeps asking his assistant, secretery, boy friday, Mezim about Jirom and then he gets a present from the rebels and he's all of a sudden "Jirom would never do this." How does he suddenly know where Jirom is? I mean not only does he know the town he knows with whom Jirom is...

It slipped my mind that this book is being released today! Was able to get my hands on it and I'll have to postpone reading Storm and Steel until after I've devoured this one :D

Was a fan of Sandman Slim ever since I've accidentally stumbled on the first novel shortly after it was released.

Interested to see what will happen, but in all honesty wasn't anxiously expecting the follow up to Blood and Iron as I did the sequels in some other series. Still it intrigued me enough to draw me back into its world. We'll see what happens here and if it's better then its predecessor. :)

Just started, but so far I like it. Even more then I thought I would. On the other hand I wish I've re-read Thorn of Dentonhill before I started on this one, even though they're not about the same characters some events from Thorn are mentioned here and if my memory of the details in Thorn was fresher I'm sure I would notice a lot more mentions.

Just came across of what I think is a pretty big mistake.

Won't go into to much detail but an event that happened in book 2 is being described and what they're describing is different than what happened in book 2.

I think authors pictured that event in different ways and forgot what version they put in :D

It took me far too long to start reading this and I don't really have an excuse. Love it so far, but what's making it better for me is the knowledge of the whole Cosmere universe within Sandersons novels. Standalone yet connected, love it :)

So I just started reading this but came across something in the book that annoyed me... So the main character says how quenching fires is normally a simple task for him implying he's done it before and yet it was only like moments earlier that he even got his powers... These types of continuity errors tend to bug me alot... Hope there won't be more of them further in.

I honestly don't know how this book missed me... Sandersons Cosmere universe and the various worlds in it fascinate me so I decided to start reading and rereading everything set within Cosmere. I decided to start with Elantris since I haven't read it before.
