I’m pausing this for now. The audio is good, although the many voices give it a sense of chaos that I might like better if this were made into a play, and I could see it on stage.

I read this in October 2018 and recently I read a review that recommended the audiobook for its excellent voice narration. I decided to reread it in the audiobook format, taking it more slowly than when I first read it.

Life’s too short to read books I’m not enjoying so I’m putting down this sequel to Big Little Truths. So far it’s written as if it’s a treatment for a television miniseries and I expect that’s what it will become.

The audiobook is narrated by the splendid actor Nicola Walker!! It’s such a treat!

I love Ruth Ozeki’s other books and I’m excited to read this new one!!

This book is so intense…

I’m just starting this book but already drawn in by this tender mother/daughter(s) story.

This book is making me feel resentful of my work making me have to put it down!!

I’m only 15 minutes into this book and I’m already intrigued and engaged!

This is giving me something to think about. I’m taking a break to mull over the ideas.

Rereading this as an audiobook for a January book club meeting. I read it in print over 12 years ago. I remember thinking it was quite good but I don’t remember it clearly enough to discuss it. I’m curious to see how my experience of it differs listening to the audiobook version.

I love this author’s work! So happy to start this book!

Paused for now. I’m not in a good place for short stories at the moment, so I’m having trouble getting into this book.

The vividly drawn descriptions of inhumanity and cruelty are too painful for me to read right now. I will have yo return another time.
