FINALLY FINISHED THE DAMN THING.

This book is so violently pink you wouldn't think it was so amazingly good, but it is. Vast character depth, amazing world building.... Kudos.

Must stop reading this. Way too much to read in one sitting. Please send help.

I can tell right now that this is a grown up version of Twilight and am very tentative to continue given what I know. But Norse gods.... But bad writing....

The beginning shares many superficial similarities to the first book of the Clockwork series (character patterns-- two boys and a girl, piano reference), but I'll place the blame on that series rather than this one. Good so far; reminds me of Holly Black.

Things seem to be coming together a little too quickly. An alterna-Book and her father found within the span of a few pages? Seems unlikely. But she is sort of living in a pseudo-play.

Really liking the book at this point, though the portrayal of quin'on'a has me a little concerned. Also, I dislike the female lead a bit, though that isn't a crime.

The sad thing is, the writing is so atrocious, yet the plot is so good.

Okay, so it was Aggie that Mimi never saw again, not Bliss, despite the fact that chapter two and three suggested the complete opposite. That wasn't tension, love. That was just confusing. LEARN HOW TO WRITE.

OMG THIS IS WORSE THAN HUSH HUSH. It's barely better than Twilight. I can't even... argh. The journey of epically bad paranormal romance is hurting me right now.

Getting tempted to stop reading. Nora is characterized inconsistently and the phrase "His eyes looked like they didn't play by the rules" has, unfortunately, been written. I mean, it was funny, but what the heck, editors? Why did you not notice that made no sense?

The rabid inconsistencies in this book are starting to poison my soul. I am both intrigued about where it is going and confused about why the main character is never once even remotely consistent. Keep in mind, the relationship is still extremely unhealthy, if interestingly sexually deviant.

Okay, uh, I actually kind of like this. I don't know if the Patch/Nora relationship is healthy, though it's certainly kinky. The problem is that we're complicating the vaguely kinky relationship with the fact that he's maybe trying to kill her, and she knows this, yet still wants to kind of be with him. At least she's aware it's insane.

Okay, sacrifice has been mentioned twice within the last few pages. Foreshadowing?
