The main female character in this book is a library director and I know that the author is not a librarian because of the very first thing the character does in the book: shaming an adult man for looking at something on the computer that is apparently related to a medical condition! She also left finalizing the library's budget to a couple hours before the board is voting on it, which would never happen in real life.
