Chissà se questa è la volta buona che lo leggo in modo più regolare... Non aiuta il fatto che per me sia proprio un libro da studiare, passo parecchio tempo sui singoli capitoletti.

La parte iniziale mi stava piacendo molto di più, ma credo sia perché, fondamentalmente, mi interessa di Ida. Nino è purtroppo insopportabile, quindi spero non diventi il centro del romanzo...

I hated the second part, I have to be honest with you... too much focus on these disgusting men and too little on the real protagonist of the novel.
The first part, too, didn't have her point of view, and her husband was as annoying as her brother-in-law, but I felt like Han Kang was truly using his twisted pov to talk about Yeong-hye, whereas with this second part... ew. Just pure disgust, didn't tell me anything.

“Not to get too politicised about it” and then it will be the most policised answer you will ever hear…

Almost teared up in Chapter 24, the whole “timshel” conversation was absolutely beautiful (nice Mumford and Sons reference) 🫀

Proseguendo lentamente con questa rilettura di tutte le sue poesie (ma la realtà è che tutti i giorni leggo almeno una sua poesia, un suo estratto, un suo verso). Pensare che non avremo mai più un suo scritto mi fa male al cuore, ma rende anche speciale tutto quello che ci ha regalato <3

Sento che ci stiamo muovendo verso una risoluzione alla "Cuore rivelatore", almeno per quanto riguarda il senso di colpa represso.

Mixed feelings because the themes and reflections in here are very dear to me, but overall I'm finding this very repetitive and quite uneventful, I hope, I'll change my mind soon.
