I have to read this in daylight. Eeeep!

Hmmm the secret relationship seems kinds weak but, ok. Let's see where this goes.

Things are finally getting interesting. The use of "General Mom is starting to get annoying but other than that, it's getting good.

I already want to throat punch the mother for basically wanting to pimp out her daughter. If she goes along with this proposal of her mom's, I'm not sure I could stomach the rest of this book.

Up to this point, I was liking this book. But now, the h is starting to get on my nerves.

I'm supposed to believe that she's a lawyer? She should have been fired. The big reveal is just dumb.

Let's see... I've just finished the first book in this collection. Although it started a bit rough for me, it started gaining momentum. And then predictability. There were spotlights of enough good to make me want to see how this carries out in the next book.

I can tell this series has promise, but right now, I just want to slap the shit out of Ellie. She's a tad bit annoying too early on. She best pull it in or I may not be able to finish this.

I was actually enjoying this until it took a detour to CrazyTown.

Of course...of course the nice guy has to turn stalkerish. We must clear the way for the would-be rapist, right?

I'm beginning to think YA is not for me. The h is coming across as an ungrateful bitch who is setting aside the "knight in shining armor" for her would be rapist. In what universe is this acceptable?

I guess it would only be TOO sensible to tell her father about the assault.

This book is spiraling towards DNF at an alarming rate. Good lord, the BFF is so hideous I want to reach in the story and throat punch her.

I'll give this another 10 % before I decide to skip to the end or not.

I hate starting books and then feeling like I may decide to not finish. Kristen Ashley usually has a decent beginning, a decent end, and an annoying and obnoxious middle. Just like her plotlines, her characters are cookie cutter. The heroes interrupt and bully the heroines, the heroines lose their brains by the alphahole, and there's nothing really that separates one book from another.

I have never sobbed over a book the way I did just now. {sniffle}

I've read the prequel, The Trap. This pretty much picks up where it left off. There should be a warning that it's recommended to read. Or just merge it now that the book is out.

Finally the story has picked up. My complaint now is that there is a plot device that is so transparent, it's making me view the h as blind and stupid. She's been through so much, it is hard to believe she is that naive.

Can this book move any slower? I'm close to halfway and the h and H haven't even had a solid conversation yet. I'm getting irritated and bored!!! Pick it up, McQuiston!

The writing is pretty so far. I only wish it would pick up the pace.

I hate when I'm right.

I also think it worthy to say for the first in maybe ever, I haven't felt the urge to look at the end of a book or skim or skip ahead. The writing has pulled me in and I am 100% invested in each word, each page.

Something isn't right... And I hope my suspicions are wrong.
