Started this yesterday, and I'm likely to finish it today. Picked it up because of the Apple TV adaptation, which just started or is starting its second season. What I'm getting most \is how it sets up expectations, logical expectations, and then subverts them. I'm also getting the general use of dialogue tags, as I'm listening as well as reading. Reading, you gloss over normal dialog tags, listening, not so much.

I'm more than halfway through this book, and I remember what I disliked about it the first time -- the bitter pill of wanting answers, and how you're not always going to get them. People ask what happens after your life ends (and that's not a spoiler) but it should give you an idea that "not knowing" frustrates.

I had planned to read Different Seasons next as part of my King redux, but this one was on this year’s list as part of my foray at redoing the Dark Tower extended journey, and it is another King car novel, also set in Pennsylvania, so it makes sense to do it next on the heels of Christine.

I will finish this today, but I wanted to note that the book is superior to the film adaptation primarily because of its depth. Film version Christine isn't able to dig into the motivation layers surrounding Arnie's descent/possession by his car; book version can and does.

Not my favorite King, as it's on the heels of The Stand and mainly because of Dennis's first-person narration.
