I’m loving the story, but the football parts are so tedious. Means nothing to me haha

I find it incredibly frustrating when a mystery is built around people withholding information. It can all be solved with a conversation.

This is so repetitive- Kaine saves Helena, Helena saves Kaine, Kaine saves Helena, Helena saves Kaine …..

Listening to the audiobook was a mistake. I honestly can't stand the narrator. She is making me detest every single character - they sound like bad caricatures from a terrible 80's sitcom.

Argh! She keeps using the word “addicting” - cringe. It’s “addictive” love.

Argh! I was right! Oh well, I still really enjoyed this.

Every British person reads like a ridiculous caricature- it’s getting tiresome. We know colonialism was bad - show don’t tell - again and again and again.

Oooh wait. There is a secret society! Things are looking up.

Oh no. I’m really not enjoying this. It was a 5 star prediction 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. If the characters began to develop a personality, and it stopped constantly telling me how bad colonialism is (I get it, it’s bad!) it may stand a chance. I want dark academia!!!

Omg, this is giving me actual anxiety. The social media sphere is such a toxic environment makes want to delete everything (except GR 😉).

I love the concept of this novel. Slasher groundhog / time travel - yes please. But this is most definitely YA - in that this girl's reactions are in no way realistic. You have just witnessed a violent murder, been chased through the woods by a masked serial killer - but instead of notifying ANYONE (police, parents, neighbours) you go to a do-nut shop with your crush and smooch. No trauma of course. Eye roll.

Argh - the book is set in England with English characters. Why would the police refer to the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and not Celsius? 🤦‍♀️

Wow - this is such fun. I can’t put it down.

I’m really not getting all the love for this book?!? So far it seems offensive and really badly written (terrible dialogue and grossly stereotypical)- I must be missing something. Will keep on with it - hopefully it will get better.

How serendipitous that I started reading this book on the 30th October, and it's set on the 30th October! Winning!

I can suspend my disbelief quite easily. But come on!! The holes in this plot.

Arggg - this protagonist is driving me crazy! So many really terrible decisions- has she never read a thriller book before?

Also here is a thought - a girl goes missing and is found in a playhouse. Two years later a girl goes missing - CHECK THE PLAYHOUSE!!! Duh.

Please get a mobile phone already Frieda 🤦‍♀️
