I love the concept of this novel. Slasher groundhog / time travel - yes please. But this is most definitely YA - in that this girl's reactions are in no way realistic. You have just witnessed a violent murder, been chased through the woods by a masked serial killer - but instead of notifying ANYONE (police, parents, neighbours) you go to a do-nut shop with your crush and smooch. No trauma of course. Eye roll.
