Why are all of these characters so into always pointing out how ugly everyone is?

I should have just dnf'd this book.

This book: this series is pointless.

This book is filled with so much unnecessary bloat. Too much is going, and it would be a lot more enjoyable if we could focus on one or two plot lines, and not more. The back and forth with the people getting captured or hurt and then healed and threatened is just exhausting and a cheap way to get things going.
The main character really is just too stupid to live at this point.

Dear word. Everybody out of here except for Peneolope. I am not sure how we are supposed to like the main male character.... We'll see what happens.

I am so sick of these books being constantly about saving each other or getting attacked and stolen from when things start looking good for them.

That is all these books are. Look, the characters are finally happy! So, I am going to make their lives miserable again.

I should just give up on these books.

I think the audiobook cut off the end of Chapter 21...

How on earth was Marlow that dense that she didn't figure out who Swift was into until book two? This far into book two, at that.

Dude gets beaten up and all he cares about are his vintage clothes. Really. Reminds me of a church sermon about a guy who gets in a car accident and he loses a hand and all he cares about is the loss of his Rolex.

I do not care about the brands that everyone is wearing. Everyone's description includes the brands and just brings it to a screeching halt because we have to talk about the Tom Ford this, Red soled shoes, that certain scarf. Dear word.

Can I have a book about Gil? I need it. Please.
