I am looking for a YA book about a cat that turns into stone to protect its own. Throughout the book, there is also a cat statue with jeweled eyes. Anyone know of this?

Wow, this book should just be called Kick the Puppy: Ryner Edition.

Only got to read for half an hour today. Sigh. But I am super stoked to see Toale again.

God, Ryner is simply amazing sometimes.

Ugh, I hate Kiefer as much as ever. She just doesn't understand Ryner. Also, this second series needs to stop so heavily tying its women characters to men.

I already read all the Ryner sections of this, but I'm trying to read the actual book now that I've converted the PDF translations to Kindle format.

I am torn. The sequel to The Passage is up, and it sounds like it's supposed to cover what happened after the outbreak. Now, I love the first 100 pages of the first. But HATE the rest with the fire of a thousand burning suns. Should I take a chance on this being different due to the set-up? I just don't want to be disappointed again.

Saving the last 10% of this book. It's great to see Leo and Piper shine and Jason and Percy be awesome. But Hazel and Frank need more moments. I feel they're getting left behind...

For the love of Zeus, Riordan, QUIT IT WITH YOUR LOVE TRIANGLES. Nobody actually cares. Hells, your characters don't even care. All they want to do is focus on their world-saving priorities and you keep shoehorning them into this tripe.

Changing my GR goal since I failed this year. Let's see if I can make this one. |D Maybe if I read more cat books.

I think this book seriously just doesn't know what to do with its male characters. The female characters all have such better arcs. I'm really enjoying Annabeth's. Percy, I tend to want to punch in the face.

I'm unsure if this 7-man-band setup is going to work well for this book. I foresee someone getting shunted off to the side. Also, there is a lot of male dominance play going on here. But the storyline sounds pretty engaging.

I am reading again! God, I can't believe I haven't actively read since June. I am such a failure.
