It’s like getting more Hork-Bajir Chronicles. Really unique and touching installment.

A classic for a reason - so witty and charming. Bridget’s obsessive thinking is a bit concerning at times, but still great fun.

Honestly more solid than I expected based on the current public opinion. I didn’t find it to be too hand-holdy at all, and I liked that it was from the perspective of the villain. The prose is quite good as well, and I learned a fair bit about the publishing industry.

This is a book you have to let just wash over you. It’s a feat to get through it - but it is worth it. The writing couldn’t be more beautiful, and even though it’s disjointed and surreal, it comes together somehow to make an odd sort of sense in the end. I got a lot out of it. I took my time with it, reading it in pieces over actual years, so it really feels like I just concluded an odyssey.
