I really love her writing! It’s so cool and so her own. Before this I’ve only read Ghostroots by her yet I feel like I could pick her writing out of a line up. Pemi’s observations are witty and poignant like Jane Austen but also very atmospheric and unconventional like Shirley Jackson.

Pemi Aguda usage of imagery is so amazing! I love it she’s so imaginative. I can’t wait to keep reading
