The main character is downtrodden, suicidal and suffers from a guilt complex, so putting even more emotion into the mix is dangerous.
The narrator's emotionally charged voice grated on my nerves. I haven't even gotten to the part where the horror starts, but am already at the point where I am considering to just dnf the audiobook.

This is the most openly (and the most weirdly) misogynistic book I have ever read. It is like the entire book was designed as a hate speech against womenkind. How did a book like this make it through editorial. The author actually writes shit like: "cteatures almost on a level with women in in their lack of intelligence."

Fall: Mann & Frau sind zum Blinddate verabredet, Frau ist aber tot als Mann eintrifft. Mann ruft Polizei. Nächsten Tag wird Mann verhaftet, weil die Untersuchung der Leiche ergab, dass Frau kurz vorm Tot vergewaltigt wurde & das gefundene Sperma war seines. Mann beteuert: er wars nicht.
Ich: Täter hatte einfach ein Kondom benutzt & Sperma vom Mann vorher aus einem Mülleimer gefischt. Kann sogar ne Frau mit Dildo.

I wish somebody had told me this was fantasy. If a book has so little content that its genre itself is already considered a spoiler, then it is just a really poor book.

Tbh all the relationship drama is by far my least favorite part of the series and in this book in particular. Everybody has got women troubles, in lack of other women the women even have them with themselves.

I like the sarcasm and dry, sharp humor Faloyin narrates in. It make the book more accessible than it would have been otherwise, considering the grim topics.
