Don't you just love when you meet a Mia? I do. They are needed.

The opening of this book was a fast hook, and even though it isn’t what I expected, I’m really enjoying it. Somehow, I still see myself in these characters—it’s oddly satisfying and surprisingly affirming to recognize pieces of my own personality in them.

Oh my heart. I’m retracing steps along with her. Step by familiar, heart breaking step. “Terrified? Fear, helplessness, powerlessness, sorrow, despair, shame— these are emotions, we all understand, and here we can meet.”

I’m only on page 37 … it could be a different perspective or maybe now vs hindsight but I’d add bitter anger to the list for all the time stolen.

So much validation found here. It’s comforting to see a similar response to such thing. I have actually said some of what I read in this book. It’s a curious feeling of validation and isolation because while I see I’m not alone the weight of it still rests heavily on our shoulders. Still I’m thankful for it! : “why isn’t there!?” Educate and Advocate 🖤”love you always!”

This authors TikTok cracks me up! Then I looked up her books.. omg of course she wrote “One Of Us Is Dead” I really liked that one so here we are 🫶
