Learning about Hawkwind and the importance of lights being played like an instrument during sets.

So far I’ve learned that most of the bands that began prog rock were made out of several of the same guys. For example, Nice and King Crimson.

I started this a few days ago (on audiobook)after watching the movie had inspired me to investigate the differences between the film and book.

At this point, I would describe the book as the owner’s manual to the movie: It gives specifics and details that clarify just what it is you’re looking at.

There’s a story about a trans woman that is told with much ignorance and empathy. Annoyed.

This introduction reads like a text book. 😅

Had no idea Ramirez went up to SF to meet LaVey. Apparently at one of his rituals is when he felt the touch of Satan. Also, he watched his cousin murder his wife when he was 12. Same cousin showed him pictures of him assaulting and raping women while he was stationed in Vietnam. This kid didn't have a fucking chance.

Wait, what?! He was only 25 when he started killing?! I thought he was like in his 30's or something. Dang. Worships Satan, loves heavy metal and bondage porn. I easily could have dated this guy. And I'm not sure that's as funny as I'm trying to make it. Wow. I'm learning so much about myself, it's terrifying.

Not sure how I feel about recent developments and the new characters revealed. A lot of competition still pulls the story along. I'll be honest, I'm waiting for Misa Amane's time to shine.
