I hate this. It’s a shame because I really liked the story I thought I was getting. The one with the witches working together. We get a little piece of that and then we are subjected to an overly long F the patriarchy diatribe. It’s SO unrealistic. DNF ing this one.

Um. What is this girls problem. I’m not sure I can finish this. She is the most contrary, negative, untrusting main character for NO reason.

I do enjoy this. Listening on Audio. It is feeling just very long though.

I’m not sure why I am going to finish this. It’s really pretty boring for me so far. I’m sure there will be some awesome twists but I have some ideas what those might be. I don’t think I even care that much though. I’m not a huge fan of any of the characters. I’m listening on audio at like 1.75 speed so I might as well finish it.

Immediately no. The main character just got literally peer pressured into going to a bar. She literally decided to go to prove a mean girl wrong. Not my kind of MC.

I want to like this but it’s kinda boring for me. I think this is a DNF for me.

I’m not feeling this. I think maybe it’s just feeling a little outdated or something. I think I’ll DNF this for now.

Yes! I’ve never been but everyone I’ve seen anything about it, I’ve always thought it seemed odd. Surreal. But that phrase sums it up best.

Wow. I did not expect those last 2 chapters. I’m glad he’s talking about these issues. I also respect his way of acknowledging that part of the reason these issues are difficult for people to believe is because people aren’t just their bad actions. “Good soldiers” are capable of also committing heinous actions.

I’m a bit surprised at his criticism of the military but really glad he is calling these things out. And this is a few years old, I’ll bet some of this crap is even worse now. The pointless “trainings,” the pressure to submit reports that aren’t accurate, the higher ups not listening to the boots on the ground.

I don’t dislike it but I think I’m going to put this back on the shelf and come back to it when the audio hold comes up.

This just isn’t my thing. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe it’s my mood or the audio but so far this is kinda boring. 🥱

Im actually glad Im reading this but it is hard. My mom bought it for me after my brother died. I just have to read a little at a time.

Recommended by my mom. I’m really struggling with this so far. It’s kinda boring and I’ve got no idea what’s going on. And not in a fun like I can’t wait to find out kind of way.

Started off kinda helpful. Now I’m just skimming. This book clearly wasn’t written for women. I’m an eat the chicken and spit out the bones kinda girl so I’ll take what I found helpful and forget the rest.

Enjoying this so far.

Really liking this so far. Ran out of time on the audiobook from the library. Have to wait on hold again. 🥴
