Coming up on the ending of the second book and I’m struggling to finish. I want to like the main characters but something is missing. Also the way the author has deviated from the standard wolf shifter tropes bothers me. Any sexual interaction means mating for life?

There is not a real villain in this book, everyone is shitty

My interest in this story is waning. Plot is getting even more complicated?

Not sure if I’m interested in continuing. The books pacing is stressful and the characters feel flat.

Just finished the first ‘book’. So far I’m into it. I bought it on the cheap in the YA section of a used book store but with the death, gore and casual sex it doesn’t read like a YA book. Not a complaint, just an observation.

The first few chapters read like it’s the 3rd book in a 6 book series and they are quickly recapping what happened previously. I keep stopping like “is this the first book or no?”

When I picked up the book I knew it was HP fan fic but I thought it was based in the same universe with different characters, etc. Right now it feels like it’s following the same plot points in a different magical world

I read this when it first came out. Reading it now my first thought is Katniss is not very likable from the outset. Her only redeeming quality is the love she has for her sister. Even that is borderline grating.

I really liked the first set of characters you get to know. Now its a different group of people and you're not really sure who the antagonist/protagonist is or if they are the same character and how it relates/when it will correlate with the initial story.
