I love starting long books with a bang, so I read the entire first book of 2666 in a day. It's a great way to start this book in particular. I love the characters and way Bolano keep the pace up by switching between character plotlines. I'm also happy to see that each separate book isn't completely detached from each other.

I haven't binged a book this hard in years. It's thrilling.

Hell of an opening.

Pages 33-35 were so moving, and then so dark, that even though I was engrossed in the book I feel the need to put it down and think about what I just read for the rest of today.
