This book is tiresome. There are so many things happening and so any characters to follow, but not in a good way. I promise this is not just me complaining about reading a larger-worlded book.

I don't think the main villain of right now was supposed to turn out to be the villain at the end of the last book. No idea why the previous guy was killed off and replaced. This could've worked better with him still there.

Alright, now I understand why the long prelude was necessary. Still sorta believe that it could've been implemented as flashbacks, as it would be done traditionally, but yeah... I think I was just expecting to read a different story here. Wrong promises?

But yeah, I love her break in delusion about him. Makes sense that that had to come, but this was executed nicely.

Told myself I would write an Anna appreciation post for the only not-completely-stupid (or actually... don't think she's done anything stupid yet) person in this story. Tbf, it does seem like she is just Sofia's outside brain, so that she doesn't have to think herself about anything but that idiot, but yeah.

This is it, this is the post. She is not horrible. And will probably be the 2nd star in the final rating.

Welp, this is a moment. Honestly didn't expect her to do this - not in a good suprise kind of way, but still - managed to suprise me.

Oh, and the book is bs, did not need this long of an intro into it. It's already a third done and I've only got the backstory meant to redeem the rest of the book. Newsflash - could've been a paragraph or, at the very worst, a single chapter.

I'm more and more convinced that Ari and Dy are doomed to die, but at this point I sorta like them more than the main fling and sorta kinda would prefer if H/P died instead? I'm sure I'd hate it when it came to that, but wow, does the author not give me a reason to care about the two of them in this book (don't entirely remember the rest of the series, so I'm talking about my endearment of them specif in this book).

Weirdly enough, this being a romantasy, I strongly believe that the romance is the weakest point of this book so far - the 2nd worst part being everything comes off a bit rushed and the decisions illogical, but that must be because the romance elements seem to disturb the flow of the rest of the story.
So far my favourite part of the romance is a second plan actor one that also is starting to get same-y rn.

For being so "totally smart", Hades is incredibly dumb. Like, wtf. Get free just to get captured by literally jumping into stupid threats.

Been reading this book like thriller, that last 50% that I’ve read. Kinda starting to read like a romance these last couple of pages though, which throws me. Do I need to start reading more psy thrillers again?

Love the weirdness of the humour in this book. And the puns, oh, the puns.

The guy still sounds like a 15 year old in my head, I cannot imagine him as anything but a teenager. Someone saying he’s this big guy or him saying he’s a VP just sounds to me like a kid playing dress up.

Honestly, this is horrible. Is it the name Colin? Colins are just always the little brothers, I guess. But no, there have been stupider names before, the writing is just that bad.

Like? Wtf? Slow down on some things maybe? Wtf? Writing a chapter this way can be fun, but as soon soon as that is how the whole book is written? Bad. Vary bad. Gross.

And oh, god, the POVs. So unnecessary.

I don't really enjoy school/academy settings anymore, I think. Thankfully it's just one-fifth of the book.

And I need to stop automatically googling the answers when a question arises that the book will answer later.
