I was JUST about to DNF this book. I love the characters, I love the magic system and the world building but god do I hate mystery novels. But THEN! “I could be someone different, too, you know.” And I squealed and kicked my feet. I guess I can stick around a little while longer

I think some of this would have been even more emotionally distressing if I hadn’t set the book down for almost 2 months and forgot who everyone was.

Ok THIS one is better as an audio. It has way more dialogue by more characters that are really fun to hear

I’m so glad I read the print book before listening to the audio. Carl sounding like Kronk really changes my perception of the character in a not great way.

Trying the audiobooks because everyone raves about them. This is NOT how I pictured Carl talking at all, but I understand all the Jensen Ackles fan casts now, tho.

Of COURSE Orson Scott Card and Space Force were eventually going to end up in the same sentence together. I am perturbed.
