Hmmm…. I’m having a difficult time trying to figure out the direction of this novel. Our “Bayside, Book Club”members chose it for a reason that is not yet apparent to me.

Yes, its basis IS tragic — I appreciate that. Maybe reading an interview that the author conducted will give me some perspective.

Suzanna: "She was young, gorgeous, and posing nude.

But there was so much more that the faded photograph revealed to Don Bridge’s son, Steven.

He pulled the photo away from the tangled mess of cigar box memorabilia that he discovered while rummaging through his father’s upstairs suite."

It's SO exciting to see the #Novels that my colleague #authors around the world have completed first-drafts on.

Kate Hubbard recommended 'A Tale for the Time Being" and I promised myself that I would not open the book until I boarded the plane on Tuesday 6AM. What can I say, especially after I discovered that my friends Judith Works and Lynn Terpstra had it on their Goodreads lists! Birds of a Feather! Now --- I can't put it down!!

Nail-biting, wild excitement. As a boutique publisher I sometimes LONG for a well-written Gillian Flynn-sort-of-read. THIS is it, want to pull an all-nighter?? Buy this book. The manner in which Chapter 1 ends (last sentence) is totally worth the price of admission.

Ugh! I hate to do this because books are so expensive -- but 'Truth Like The Sun' is not what I hoped it would be -- I'm setting it aside in favor of 'The Falls: Making a List and Checking it Twice".

It's not that 'Truth' is particularly bad, it's just not for me -- lacking the character-color that makes a read fascinating, decadent, maniacal, so-good-they must have a secret characters. LOVE the Seattle history!
