I’m getting a little over everything being the same chapter after chapter ARGH

How can we possibly like Ares at all. And Hannah. What a piece of work. Poor Raven. I feel for you but girl you need some respect.

I don’t think I’m feeling it for this one.

This one is taking me a while to get through. I’m not quite sure why though.

20% in and I feel like I’m done with this book. It might be asking to the end or throw away now. The FMV is unlikeable. She’s had to go into hiding and just bitches about it. I cannot see a romance between these two.

I’m also sick of the author writing the character as calling herself “a sl$t”, a “wh@re”, a “brazen sl$t”. That shit is not needed. The character is a single women who has feelings for the gorgeous man who has invaded her life looking for answers. I feel it’s making me angry when I read it.

I really hope this book gives me some answers because I’m getting a bit bored with it already. I don’t want to have to resort to skimming the rest of the book.

I hope this is better than the last book I tried to read by this author. I try to read at least 2 before I add them to my “authors who are not my cup of tea” list. So here goes.

80% or there abouts in and so many things are annoying me. There better be some expiations about it. The whole Archer taking the call from Cassie as the same time the hospital rings Logan about Natalie. Do you meant to tell me that her friend gets taken and Cassie waits until they are at the hospital to call her man to tell him what’s went on. No freaking way. Timeline sucks on that whole drama. So annoyed.

So far this book has so much repetition that I’m seriously just wanting to know when this book will be over.

I know there is going to be a HEA (well I’m pretty sure there is) but I don’t know if my heart is ready to see what these two are going to go through to get there

I’ve just finished the Ruthless games series so this one is a little hard to get into. The gang is called the Reapers and all I can think about is the awful zombie lien reapers from Firefly. So it’s making me cringe every time I read it.

Ok. I’m not sure I can be bother reading this book with so many stupid things in the first chapter. Really a billionaire that post office just leaves a package on his front step and she can just climb over the fence and get it. I’m the package has your name on it just go and ask for your package and then get invited in for dinner and all the other stuff. The whole fence thing is stupid.

Is the sentence structure annoying anyone else about this book? I really don’t know if I can be bothered to finish it.

Ok this book feels ‘weird’. It feels disjointed and there is no connection between our MFC and MMC. MMC feels almost useless and not like a highly trained special forces person. They also ‘talk’ like they haven’t met any of the team - Hank, Swede, Jake or maybe they are still too new? But then they used those resources in the previous book. It’s doing my head in.

Ok. Apart from every single female character has one or both parents have died, I get annoyed with the author forgetting what she writes about the characters in her other books. This one had Jake claiming he hasn’t jumped in years and doesn’t know how his prosthetic leg will go ummmm he jumped with Matayo when he was trying to recruit him. With his prosthetic leg.

So I just read that? He got red wine out of the fridge? I mean WTF. Who outed red wine in the fridge. That is sacrilege lol and please he had 2 glasses and he’s nearly falling over… what???

Like seriously, in the last book they were all over at Coles house to help pack up their teammates, and Cole’s housemate, CJ’S stuff after he died on one of their missions. Now it’s as if they don’t know him. WTF?

What is going on?? I am reading the “meeting Jake and Max” like didn’t he just help out in the last mission with Enzo and now he is in a different mission with different men or is there a whole different “Cole”?

I feel like all her books in this series so far have some kind of disconnect with what we learn in the previous book about the upcoming new characters. It’s doing my head in.

I’m not sure I’m going to make it through this one - you have a meal and then take the leftovers (that have been sitting on the table while you all ate) to the bar to sell to patrons. EWWWWW NOOOOOO

Why have you made RJ getting more and more stupid in these books. Pushing a secret admirer? Really?

I don’t think I have laughed so hard at a book for a while. Their banter is always fun/funny but that whole going out to grill. I laughed until i hard tears in my eyes and a stitch in my side.

I must admit, I laughed so hard at the rat.

I’m only a few chapters into the audiobook but the female narrator is annoying. Why does she feel the need to slow down her speech when she switches to a “male voice” and why is she making Ava out to be almost condescending. I think I was spoilt because I listened Mercy Kilpatrick and the Columbia Rivers books first and I really liked how those were narrated. I might have to switch to reading the book instead
