I’m enjoying this so much I don’t want to rush it.

Finally, they sent a poet…

This is going to be on my “currently reading” shelf for a long time.
A collection of “essayettes” the author wrote over a calendar year, they are a delightful snack, and I don’t want to binge them.
(This is yet another reason I don’t sign up for “reading challenges”. I’ll read as many books as my mind has room for, at the pace each book demands of me.)

…or is it 117? My (signed) copy jumps from page 52 to peg 117, the jumps back from p 148 to page 85! It’s missing everything from page 52-85!

I wonder if it’ll be worth something some day…

In the interim, it’s a bit frustrating. I was all ready to get his take on the end of the first story and *poof* missing pages :(

Chapter 25. Really enjoying this. Recommend the Audible version narrates by Ray Porter. This is easily as good as “The Martian”, so far, with a very similar tone.

Savoring this. So far, It is dense, full of insights from neuroscience and literature, told in a breezy tone. Excellent, inspiring and useful stuff.
