I'll say this: I preferred the first half to the second half. I think the first half was more what I expected and what I wanted out of this book and the second half just seems like its prolonging the inevitable while also being a little boring. Like its not bad but I want more to happen. Or something else to happen idk

First of all I already don't like Dom or Phil and I'm sure that's the point but goddamn I wouldn't be able to stand them. Secondly, I'm already getting scary vibes from the cabin and I don't like it (in a good way). I don’t know how he does it but Adam Nevill is always able to conjure a specific atmosphere with his books that I eat up every time. I'm ready to be scared

Listen.....its not bad but its definitely predictable. I guess YA has lost a lot of the allure from when I was a teenager (which makes sense) but i was hoping for something more i guess.
