I’m actually really enjoying this world and the writing is great too

Holy world building. I’m glad there’s at least a decent amount of action right off the bat because the world building feels overwhelming. Not enough to stop because the story has grabbed me but it’s just reminding me why I tend to not do a ton of fantasy/romantasy because my brain gets tired haha.

Struggling with this one. it’s soooo sloooowww! At 800 pages this could be cut by 25-50 percent to have a faster more enjoyable read. Im all for world building but this is extensive and the only reason I’m stick with it is that I didn’t really like book 1 of ACOTAR but LOVED the rest of the series so hoping this is gonna be similar or that the book redeems itself by the end

this is tagged as new adult/young adult but the writing screams of a greater maturity level-I feel like I’m reading about characters in their mid to late 20s (which I don’t mind but wasn’t expecting) so far it’s not bad- I’m hoping it gets better, finding the world building a little rushed and confusing, but I’m gonna keep going. I think I’m right about where thing will start to get interesting 🤞🏼
