Getting better. Reads like a true crime book, which is the point. I think the first chapter had me hesitant as it was sooo long and just a bunch of background information all at once and some of it I feel was unnecessary

Kind of a slow start. Doing this as an audio book so that could be why. Hoping it will start getting better now that I've made it a quarter through

This has turned around for me and I am really enjoying it. So glad I picked it up and tried something new!

I don't usually do fantasy, I know this is also historical fantasy so I'm hoping as I get more into it I will like it more. It's definitely not something I normally would have picked up, and right now its been information heavy , setting the stage but I am hopeful my opinion will change soon! It's had great reviews online, crossing my fingers I will be one of them

Not usually a memoir person, not sure if this is the one I should have jumped into. It's felt kind of slow so far.

Charlie hasn't quite won me over yet, he's cocky and a little arrogant, but if it's anything like Every Summer After, I have a feeling I will be kicking my feet and giggling soon

The pacing in the beginning, set this as a two star read for me. The interactions felt a little or inorganic. I’m holding out in hopes it gets better
