I've read plenty of Brennan's books in the past and enjoyed them. Let's hope this will be another winner… *fingers crossed*

The trope of non-communication is pesky. Jesse's come-to-Jesus moment at 58% felt unbelievable, and it happened with a total stranger at that. Like he didn't have his family's, friends', and therapist's support. I mean, come onnnnnnn! Ugh. :((

I disagree. They're both. Victims and survivors. Good first 30%. Unfortunately, I'm not terribly invested in the story ATM because I'm bored.

I don't know yet how to rate this. Overall it was good, but some parts/aspects really annoyed me. And I sure as hell did not buy that cheesy, rushed and miraculous ending. No way Jose! *cue eye-roll*

It's a bit long-winded. Other than that, the writing is great and I'm enjoying it.

Baba to GR: I know that I'm way behind on my 2016 Reading Challenge. And guess what? I don't give a fuck, that's what. I don't need a boost. I don't need more books either. I'd rather read less and enjoy other aspects of my life. Like a hot guy. *cheeky smile*

Too many "sweet" analogies and other issues. DNF.

Reading Sweet Dreams makes me aware of how much I miss a mature couple like Liv and Dean. A silly 23-year-old heroine (cue eye-roll) and so many zings and electricity here, I'm surprised Polly hasn't been electrocuted yet, and she's sending off so many New Adult vibes, I can't say that I'm pleased. So far this book isn't for me.

I don't know if I'll be okay, but let's hope for the best!

I really tried very hard for 15 days. After a nice beginning I completely lost interest in the story and the characters because I. Was. Bored. Out. Of. My. Mind. Even though I wanted to abandon ship numerous times, I soldiered on, hoping it would pick up again. I was wrong. I'm very sorry to say that I have to DNF a book written by my favorite author. That's a sad moment for me and my heart hurts.

Fact is, women are their own worst critics and we all should stop chasing after the allegedly perfect body image. You are perfect the way you are, and so am I. #realcurves #positivebodyimage

The barbed interaction may be amusing in the beginning, but the more I read the less I liked it. Their constant verbal fights are eye-roll inducing, childish, tedious and frustrating. I don't give a s$$t when the hero's background has to serve as an excuse, he's still an asshole. Been there, done that! Too cheesy, too many grins etc. Constant glaring, snapping and grumbling. It gets old fast. DNF.
