"While my parents believed that there were forced labor camps, they could not imagine or believe in the murder of millions in those camps."(85) I think people don't know about the death camps because the Nazis tried to disguise the camps to make it look like you're working for something, so the Jews would work harder but then would be killed but their efforts wouldn't be wasted.

"the germans had even established an Advice Group to promote the benefits of going to German work camps (an estimated 500,000 Dutchmen wound up working in Germany"(78) I think the Germans made these kinds of groups to give the Jews a apse sense of security and then they would work harder, believing they're going to live and then they are killed but the Germans still had their work.

"The deportations and killings were primarily at the hands of the Nazis but, to a not insignificant extent, also Dutch collaborators, including especially Dutch Nazis."(72) I think it is interesting that the Nazis weren't the only one responsible for the dehumanizing of Jews, since they had all of the power.

"The Germans, as was their rule, widely published the names of all persons whom they executed for their "misdeeds".(71) I think this happened probably because the Germans want to spread fear, and want the Jews to fall in line to they can send them to concentration and death camps.

Jews also had to pay a special tax on, and subsequently to give up, their radios, which my father, and an estimated 25% of their owners, didn't do."(67) I think that the Jews should have all given up they radios because if they would be discovered they would be killed and you don't need a radio to survive.

"Many non-Jewish Dutchmen at the outset wore they stars to show solidarity, but this, by ordinance, became a serious crime potentially punishable by death."(71)I think it was kind that non-Jewish people tried to wear the stars to sympathize with Jews, but of course Germany would make that illegal.

"The more severe decrees, designed to isolate Jews and to deprive them of any economic, cultural or public life, and those that ultimately doomed Jews in Holland to deportation and health, started with the requirement in October and December of 1940 of special yellow identification cards for Jews over the age of 14."(66) I think this is where the Nazis start to take away Jewish rights and dehumanize them.

"Many Dutch Jews, from the moment of the German invasion, and thereafter, carried a cyanide pill or two in their pockets in contemplation of suicide"(51) I think many Jews did this because if Germans attacked them, they would just go out quickly and not be hurt or tourtured slowly by the Germans. Another reason I think Jews carried pills was because they didn't have any rights, so life looked meaningless to them.

"On May 10, 1940, German tanks invaded Holland "falling in unannounced" early in the morning without declaring war(50). I think that was Hitlers tactic to attack "unannounced" because like the blitzkrieg (lightning war) is part of that tactic. If Hitler attacked without any warning, no one would be able to stop him.

" You forget every time what you felt before when it comes again"(466) I think this can be true with certain experiences, especially sad ones. In sad experiences, yoou want to forget the pain you just experienced and try to block it out of your memory. But the next time something bad happens, you don't know how to deal with it because you always try to push those emotions away.

"I had the idea that a woman's name would prejudice people against my work, especially in detective stories."(266)I feel bad because I know at that time period (and still sometimes today even) women were looked down upon, and were only thought of as housewives or they were just thought of as dumb.

"Why did i like being frightened?"(164) I remember when I was little and loved to watch horror movies and hear ghost stories but now I hate them. I think we liked to be scared back then because it was just excitement and not understanding anything, but now that we understand the world better we are more frequently scared and don't like to be scared anymore.,

"No young woman then, as far as I can judge, would ever own up to having rude health."(158)I think this is very true. Back then, all children didn't really voice their problems because they were' allowed to complain. It was normal to beat children, so if children didn't want to be beate, they would only speak when spoken to.

"I myself was always recognized, though quite kindly, as 'the slow one' of the family."(136)I can relate completely. Being the youngest, my family always excepts me to be the "innocent" one (I'm not) but they also except me to be slow, yet keeping up with the times. As someone who has no social life, I usually don't know many topics they discuss, which they except of me, but they still expect me to be "slow"

"On the whole I think the snobbery of my childhood, the snobbery of birth that is, is more palatable than the other snobberies; the snobbery of wealth and intellectual snobbery."(132) Most people don't fully understand what that means, but it is simply saying that even though when you were a snobby little kid (we all were) its still reasonable because when you're an adult you have no excuse to act that greedy.

"How odd it is, when remembering early days, that the weather seems constant in certain places(115). I think this happens because when you are a little kid, you don't remember many details when you look back because it was so long ago and your brain wasn't developed enough to remember much detail, except for pain or tragedy because they're important.

"It was just before I was five years old that i first met fear."(96) I can relate to this because at around five years old you start to learn more about the world, and its when you're first taught how to read and write, so you are opened up to a whole new world along with fear. I think everyone develops their first fear or memory around five because of that.

"Perhaps because in the years of her childhood she had been quiet, restrained, with her emotions kept well below the surface, she tended to see the work in terms of drama that came near, sometimes, to melodrama."(47) I think this is because during your childhood, if you are pent up and can't express your emotions, when they finally can they could be sensitive to it because they grew up that way.

"One of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life is to have a happy childhood"(39) I agree completely with this statement. If you have a bad childhood, you're going to grow up angry and resentful, while if you have a good childhood, you're more likely to be happy.

I have sometimes been wildly despairing acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing"(22) I really like this quote because nobody every thinks or realizes that people loose their lives everyday, and how being alive is just a beautiful and cool thing in general.

"Ones memories represent those memories which insignificant as they may be, nevertheless represent the inner self and oneself as most really oneself."(14) I think what she meant by this was that everyone develops their own personality and beliefs through their experiences in life, and change as they gain moe experience and truly know who you are.

"Unfortunately you often wish not only to remember but also to talk about what you remember."(3) I think this is true because when people talk about a memory or past experience, they want to talk about it. If it is a good memory, they would want to talk about it more to try and hold on to the happy memory so they describe it in details so they can remember it more vividly.

Im exited because when Pinestar told Bluefur, "You haven't seen the moonstone",(233), I knew Bluefur was going to get more information about the prophecy and what it means. The moonstone is a giant silver-white stone inside a cave where cats go to talk to their warrior ancestors, StarClan, or leaders to receive their nine lives. I don't think StarClan will directly tell Bluefur, but I think they will tell her more.

He doesn't tell anyone where he's going, and as leader I think he should at least help a little in patrolling or hunting for his Clan. I think that he has met a cat in another Clan or a kitty pet that he falls in love with. I hope not because he would leav

Now she will be able to help her clan more in hunting, mentoring and protecting ThunderClan boundaries. It's weird to see her grown up from the mount she opened her eyes, but with adulthood i think there's more trouble so

Just because she has a crush on an arrogant cat, doesn't mean that she gets to force others to like him. Everyone should be able to have their own opinion about someone, no matter how close they are.
