Enjoying the character and world building so far.

Oh for the love of god! Why on earth are they surprised by this event when it was mentioned it would/ could happen in the first book? But here we go on and on about the event and how shocked they are. Really? I'm never the snarky reviewer, but this has got me in full snark.

This book is confused. It doesn't know if it should be a history book, romance book, or paranormal. Usually you can combine the three and make it entertaining. With the exception of this book, which is either or and none are quite meeting the requirements.

I just feel that the author is getting caught up in certain details that perhaps should have been addressed in book 1. IMHO

This may sound weird, especially since I read the first book. But I'm not connecting with ANY of the characters and that is including the main characters. Mathew has done a complete 360 on us in this book. He isn't very likeable and Dianna is annoying AF. If things don't pick up and change by time I get to the end of the book I just don't foresee myself proceeding with the 3rd installment.

Oh dear, this is going to be tough to finish if it doesn't pick up.

I've been in a slump since completing Pretty Girls last week. Hope this can give me the dark read that I crave and then some!

Okay, right from the start I am having an issue with this book. I now see what other readers were complaining about in this book not being factually correct. Because I have been doing some research on the Columbine shootings I am already vastly aware of some key factors and this book is so far in the beginning missing the mark. For now I will pause proceeding with finishing for a week or two and go back to this.

This is going to be a tough read. Unfortunately, I have to do it for research for a book I am working on. Here I go, where is my Kleenex?

Ahhh, the Clinton emails explanation. Again, nothing new here. His explanations were pretty much what we already knew from (real) news reports and basic common sense. Still a pretty good book and entertaining read.

Still finding this book to be entertaining. Comey gives you some insight on his life and how he has arrived to certain paths. So far, I'm not seeing what all the hubbub has been all about in bashing the book. Comey is actually a pretty good writer who offers laughs when needed, insightful knowledge when least expected and knows how to keep a story going.

When this book was announced summer of 2017, I had zero intentions of reading it. My interest in reading it plummeted even further as snippets of the book came out last week. Honestly, at this point what is he going to say that I haven't heard on the news already? Oddly enough, tks to a co-worker, I now find myself not only reading this book but actually enjoying it. So far it is a fun ride into the mind of Comey.

Not sure why I am having a hard time getting into this one.

A thin line between love, hate and fate. Cordell not only walks that line but he slaps it into submission and a sexual awakening.

Loving this book so far. The main character reminds me of Phryne Fisher.

I'm definitely starting to get annoyed with the main character at this point.

Yep, I was correct in my assumption of the big surprise. Love these two authors writing style. I think I have an idea of how it will end, let's see if I'm correct.

Hmm, I think I figured out the surprise ending. Hoping I'm wrong but I have a feeling I am right. It's the only logical course to take.

Absolutely loving this books so far! Margaret Atwood has a way of weaving words together.
