I just started reading His Christmas Kid last night. I'm part way through chapter 9. I read the first book last year. I don't remember it. If it's anything like this one, I don't know how I made it through. I am totally DNF-ing the rest.

There was a door made between the bakery and the Cafe. Why is it now walled off? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

It's really annoying that the author, editor and proofreader have forgotten that MC has been to the coroner's office/morgue before.

Suddenly her longstanding waitress is named Melody instead of Melanie. Just for chapter 17 though. She's Melanie throughout the rest of the book and the series so far. GET A GOOD PROOFREADER AND A BETTER EDITOR.

Why is the MC asking about a program that's been sold and they no longer have access to?

On page 19 and 21 the vials were red and green. Now, on page 101, the vials were blue and green. GET A GOOD PROOFREADER.

I've been enjoying these for the fluff they are. The writing has even been getting better as the series continues until now. Two characters discussed an explosion BEFORE the scene with the explosion happened. WTF?

We are not off to a good start. The cousin who sold her the cafe is Sarah not Susan. How in the world do authors, proofreaders and editors miss simple details like this? SMH.

I hate Josh. The author loses a star for using the phrase "moldable putty of pleasure."

Seriously, I've liked at least 4 other books by her. This one is terrible so far.

Just finished the first book. The name of the assistant switched from Serena to Mandy halfway through, which is kind of hilarious given book 2 is supposed to be about her.

Look, I know this isn't great literature; however, I still like my escapism to be proofed and edited well. There's something really rough about this authors' writing and it's not the good kind of rough.

In chapter 7 and thoroughly annoyed. First it's Friday, she's finished her last day og work and already returned her key. Now it's Thursday and tomorrow is her last day. I hate inconsistencies like this.

Chapter 12 contains the most poorly written love scene I have ever read and I've been reading them for over 30 years.

Really love this story; however, chapter 27 & 28 are trying my patience. Brance is giving me whiplash. The writing of him is too uneven.

I don't like to mark books as DNF. This one is making it VERY difficult to finish. It just keeps getting worse. Ugh.

Just started chapter 12 and it hit me like a ton of bricks that this Jonathan is the Jonathan from the Songs of Submission series. OH. MY. GOD. Seriously, OMG!!!!

I am enjoying the story but it is DRAGGING. There is a lot of repetition. if ever a story needed a good editor, this is it. That said, there is something I like or I wouldn't be sticking with it because it is SUPER long.

in chapters 10 & 11, she nails grief like no one else i have ever read.

Twin Dragons is just a hot mess. There is so much wrong with the story, plot and characters that it's not even worth trying to enumerate it all. Will steer clear of that author.

The first story was okay. Definitely not enough sexy times. LOVED the second story, Feral Gaze. Taking a break to continue reading all the books in that series. Already read the third story by Jaimie Klaire.

Finished Marian Yee's "Play With Me" on Friday 1/2/2014.

I used to like this story. Now, I just want to beat the heroine senseless. You are totally right, L, you don't deserve him.

Just finished Chapter 17. Richelle and her imagination never cease to amaze me!!!

Someone didn't do a very good editing job. The repetition is starting to make me crazy!!!

just finished Chapter 15. Loved it though all the future stuff is still pissing me off. I've been assured by some friends that the payoff is worth it. I sure hope so!!!

I am so mad at the author. I just finished chapter 6. the last five chapters have been great and everything I was looking for this book to be; unfortunately, it's difficult to enjoy them because the author RUINED it all with chapter 1.

I hate when authors start the book by telling me how the story ends. I don't mind so much if it is vague but major details are not good. Chapter 1 is depressing the hell out of me and making me not want to read this story. Oh, I know I'll finish it but I'm probably going to be pissed as hell.

I'm really digging this author and the characters. That said, I have a very low tolerance for lazy errors. The typos are driving me nuts but I can handle those (thank you auto-correction). I cannot inconsistency errors that were not caught or corrected. They pull me out of the story and push me over the edge. Really hoping there aren't more.

If I wasn't already in love with Gibson, I certainly would be now!!!! Such a great series. May have to update my stars...
