Fun listening to this with carpool kids!

Audiobook, somewhat regretting doing the dramatized version because it can be pretty distracting at times. Engaging story so far.

“For it’s having bad thoughts deep down under our hood, and keeping them there—why, that’s what makes us good.” 🤨

Audiobook. A bit confusing and hard to get into at first but he’s hit his stride now. I got a little misty-eyed remembering the joy of teaching someone to read and write 🩷

“My mother is a fish.” Classic.

Had borrowed this from the library and it had to be returned… now I bought my own copy used.

I like that he includes 3 example families wrestling with all 3 levels of autism, and a variety of ages.

Just the appendices left! They seem worth reading.
The poetry was wonderful. Guite is a good narrator.

This continues to be an excellent daily devotional. Probably my new favorite, neck and neck with Keller’s proverbs devotional.

Really helpful distinction between divine supernatural (source: God. Goal: God’s glory) and demonic supernatural (source: Satan/demons. Goal: personal glory or satanic glory). Evaluating source and goal helps.

I’ve been using this in my personal devotions and really appreciate the format. On days when I’m not sure what to meditate on from my daily Bible reading, this provides me an attribute of God to consider, multiple verses about that attribute, a prayer of confession, and prayers of thanks, as well as journaling space.

Loan ran out… reading poetry from the library is not ideal! I need more time!
