This book is getting harder, and harder to read. The main character, Maid Marian is great, but the mayor is horrible, and there are so many unnecessary sub plots. I'm starting to feel lost, or even bogged down. I love the premise of this book, but it needed some serious editing. I don't want to give up on it, but it's feeling hard to finish.

I'm a huge fan of speculative fiction, so so far, this book is right up my alley. Having grown up in the midwest surrounded by freshwater, and now living in drought-prone California, I think about the future of water a lot. It's interesting to see a world created where water is scarce. Plus it is in Portland (where I used to live) and has a lot of specific references to parts of the city, so that is cool.

Super easy read so far. Enjoyable.
