Bryce has got to be the dumbest main character I’ve ever read about.

I’m giving this book a try again.

I read this like 15 years ago and I don't remember anything about it. I gave it a two star rating at some point but I don't remember why so I'm reading it again.

The plot is kinda slow going. I want to know what Valentine is up to, not what the awkward trio (Clary, Jace, and Simon) are up to.

I liked the first book once I got through the first couple of chapters and this one is shaping up to be pretty good too. Jace is still a sniveling prat though; does he ever get better?

I listened to this audiobook about a year ago and was the second book but never got to the third. I’m retreading since the show is coming out sometime soon and I want to know how it ends before I watch it.

I thought we’d see vampire action right away in this book but it has been kinda slow in that respect. Still a compelling book though.

This book is so much more enjoyable to read than to listen to. I feel like I missed so much by listening to it and now I’m filling in some gaps by reading it and getting the story a bit slower since the story is so involved and dense in the world building and characters.

I’m giving this series a go again. The audiobooks were not very good so maybe it’ll keep my attention if I physically read it instead of listening.

This book is way better as an audiobook than a normal read.

It’s been so long since reading this that I’ve forgotten a lot of what happened in a lot of it. These books are such a joy to reread because the foreshadowing for the next two books is really strong but you don’t realize it until you get through the next books and then read again. So you’re always making new connections with other parts of the story while reading.

Starting from the beginning of the series is so much fun because now I can pick up on all of the foreshadowing that I didn’t know was foreshadowing the first time I read it.

I haven’t read through the series in a long time and it’s amazing how much information is tossed into the first five chapters with the story still making perfect sense.

Here we go again!

I stopped reading it halfway through maybe a year ago, going to give it another shot.

I listened to this audiobook and couldn't get into it but now that I'm reading it I cant put it down. If it weren't for work I'd have finished this already.

I couldn't care less about Faile and Perrin at this point, I hope their story line gets more interesting.

They FINALLY decided to go to the Well of Ascension. I'm so surprised that it took them this long to decide to do it.
