DNF.
This was not my cup of tea. The writing is really good but somehow the story didn't really capture me. Maybe I will give it another go at some other time.

Very easy to read. The writing is very fluent.
BUT.. where is this island? It apparently belongs to Scotland and lies somewhere between Scotland and Norway. But apparantly it is also "far further north than" Finland. The northernmost point of Finland is very far north. So if that island is far further north than Finland it must be extremely far north. Like Svalbard.

It is very interesting so far but it kind of feels a bit off-topic. The last chapter was mostly about bonobos and how they differ from chimpanzees. But very interesting nonetheless.

I am rereading the book for the first time and I must say that I like it a lot more than I did back then (2007 I think). I like the relationship between Harry, Ron and Hermione and that they all have flaws and act quite realistically. I also think the story is very engaging.
I think the reason why I didn't like that book so much when I read it the first time was that it is not set in Hogwarts.

Already love it!
